address I don't recognize.  It was blocked as possible spam by my spam filter
and did not make it to my INBOX. 

Assuming you're a real person reading this and not a nasty spambot (Hi!), you

If you decide you still want me to see your message, here's what you need to
do to get past the spam filter.  First, send me a short message with the words
"please" followed by my first name in the Subject field.  The body of that
message will be ignored.  This will put your email address onto a special
list, so that any email from that address in the future will make it through
to my INBOX. Then resend your original message.
